Colorado is massively conservative and always has been. The combination of communist subversion of school curriculum and California and East Coast migration has made it more purple, but through a stranglehold on primaries and asshole paid-off Republicans that don't actually do anything for the people, the Democrats have overcome the massive landslide cheating that was previously required to make it seem even close. With mail-in voting and electronic voting diluting our votes and the Republican candidates being such pieces of globalist trash (Mitt Romney, George Bush, and fricking John McCain), many Conservatives have been so demoralized, they don't even pretend to care about elections anymore. It doesn't matter what the goalposts are, the messaging from Republican leadership is so anathema to Democrat operatives, they are joyful to throw away votes for the "opposition" and count obviously phony votes for "their guy", even when it is controlled opposition.
And now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, there's not as much reason to care about overwhelming voting in national elections anymore. Particularly since Zionism is being laid bare for all to see- unconditionally supporting "our greatest ally Israel" is starting to become a massively divisive issue in the Church- and rightfully so.
I grew up in Colorado, left for Texas a couple decades ago, and I've never once considered going back because of the explosion of the cost of living and particularly after marijuana was legalized in 2012- and that was only by a 55/45 margin and well into the electronic voting era.
In some weird unstatistical way, here in Colorado, that is the margin of "victory" in most of our elections in the 24 years...
