I put a theory to the wife and said her sister is acting like a millennial. She told me she’s 61 years old she the last of the Boomers. I indicated how she always has the answer for everything. She says “like” more than my 26 year old. Believes in Global Warming, drives a Prius and wear a face diaper everywhere she goes.
I have a new tactic. Ask them why they make these choices. Keep asking until they say experts say so. Then ask "Why do you believe them?" The answer may be "Because they're experts!" But then say "Experts are often wrong, so again, why do you believe them?"
This doesn't change their mind, but it plants a seed.
