You're assuming the damage is permanent. For some, it may be, but for the country itself? No. America will heal from this. Right now consider the nation being put under for a serious surgery. It's scary, but when it is finished, America WILL heal. The bad things that are happening now, in the public eye, had to be seen. They had to be seen.
