“Does it ever occur to you, out of all the topics within the human experience, that if you’re constantly in rhythm with hundreds of thousands of other people all saying the same keywords every single day in unison, with the same sets of talking points attached to them, you might be programmed? Some people call it brainwashed. By the by, do you have an inner monologue?”
Of course. I don't believe in rituals or dogma. They constrict creativity. I gravitate towards creative, kind, hard-working, critical-thinking people - who are not always in sync with my thoughts or opinions, but can maintain an open mind. A lot of conservatives these days fit that bill.
The way I look at it, “conservatism” and “liberalism”, as they’re defined today, could better be expressed as “supportive/unsupportive of accountability to standards and questioning/unquestioning toward the norm/standards”.
There has to be a bedrock standard upon which all else is built either way, or the script is lost. I choose God and Jesus.
Once someone is jarred into questioning things, they have to have a bedrock or the script can be lost. Not questioning the standards is dangerous because it’s almost impossible for us to truly get things right.
As you noted, the way things are right now, the script has flipped and “conservatives” are the ones questioning authorities, and “liberals” are the ones enforcing rigidity. It’s weird to see.
We eventually need both to come together against the Satanists, who definitely exist and are definitively evil, in unison. Scare event necessary.
Yes, my friend is definitely an NPC today. :-(

Posting here may be a good way to eventually get ideas out to someone who can persuasively communicate them.
When I try, I usually get things like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-h1CCDOL6c
The downsides of slightly autistic behaviors :-)
