basically if you go Enlisted to warrant to officer, you can have a 40 year career and not hit the cut offs.
slight more explanation: OCS I think 24 cut off. enlisted to officer, the cut off is around 32. but if you go from enlisted to warrant then go officer there is no age. 26 years in is the normal boot.. but going to officer resets the years cut off cycle of forced out.

Yes indeed. I agree 100% that it can and has happened. I knew a Warrant officer that retired AT age 62 after 40 yrs service. But usually officers at O4??? Yeah, I agree it is possible. Just weird to be that old as an O4.
