I feel like this is an extremely unpopular opinion but I really don't think republicanism was a step forward for humanity.
Monarchy is the most intuitive form of government. People tend to take care of what they own, and politicians have no incentive to leave anything better for the next generation because they really have no stake in their country. Their legacy dies with them.
A monarchy with constitutional (and familial) checks and balances is vastly preferable to a republic where the foreign interests run free and loot the taxpayers. It's pure and much simpler. No Congress, no Supreme Court, no ridiculous sham elections. Everyone knows who's in charge and what the rules are.
Are you sure it's such easy proof???
Much of the Laws we have can be found in the Old Testament, and some in the New Testament....
I have made the exact same argument you're making to others, but I only referenced The Law Of Nations by Emmerich de Vattel as that is the set of books used by the Continental Congress and Geo. Wash. when they were putting together the founding Documents, namely the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation, but later the U.S. Constitution....
And when I did reference certain points, I was Given a reference to Bible Scriptures, so it's not just some of, but most of your directional Thinking that is flawed....
At the time that Jesus showed up in Rome, it had ceased to be a Republic, the praetorian Guard, what we would call the Secret Service, had killed off the the Leaders of the the Roman Republic, sold it off to the highest bidder, and made it into a Monarchy, so yeah, it was a shit place to live and exist, and only due to it's vastness did it survive and expand, and is exactly what the Monied Elites of the World are trying to DO to the U.S. at this time....
If they cannot Rule over a free People, then they directly intend to burn it all down and Rule over the ashes....
And That speaks volumes about Monarchy, Rulers of Ashes....
