Child marriages were common 100 years ago in the east. Lot of people hold on to their customs and traditions. It all depends on what society of people live together and as a collective decide what is acceptable.
Lot of the things they do here in the west seems to crazy to the eastern traditions. But you know, these years everything is getting merged. East and west are getting mixed at much higher rate. Migration is happening everywhere. We won't have choice but to be open minded about every culture. Take the good, ignore the 'bad' (as we perceive), but let others live their own life style as long as they don't hurt us.
Absolutely not! Accepting other culture was just a general comment when mass migrations happen. To have our own peace of mind we just need to learn to accept other cultures, that's all. Child marriages are not acceptable anywhere now and are illegal everywhere.
