The original Twitter was designed from the ground up to provide a thousand different ways to control the tweets, restricting wrong-think and emphasizing anything that supports approved narratives. It was designed as a tool to support DS/cabal psyops.
All that crap is still there, now run by a skeleton crew. Pretty easy for the DS/cabal to infiltrate X and use that existing functionality right under Elon's nose.
I don't think there is much he can do about it. To really fix X would require almost a complete rewrite of the existing codebase - which is probably never going to happen... way too expensive and time consuming.
Truth Social has the potential to be the answer to all the problems with X, if they can become competitive in terms of user base, advertising, shared monetization, etc. That and the technical issues (the TS codebase is very immature compared to other social media platforms).
I think it is best to use both (as I do for example), and let people slowly shift more toward TS as it gradually improves and matures.
Which situation? Not disagreeing about the importance of X.
