"Raghavan served as the associate director of the Office of Public Liaison under President Obama, acting as a liaison to both the LGBT and Asian American and Pacific Islander communities from 2011 to 2017. As the associate director Raghavan facilitated conversation on issues impacting both the LGBT and Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, including marriage equality, workplace nondiscrimination, transgender rights, bullying prevention, immigration reform, hate violence, and access to health care.[3] It was during Raghavan's tenure that President Obama spoke out in favor of marriage equality,[4] and later signed an executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Gill Foundation gives grants to non-profit organizations including Affirming Pentecostal Church International, Axios — organization of Eastern Orthodox, Byzantine Rite, and Eastern Catholic Christians who are LGBT, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and something called Q Christian Fellowship among a hundred others.
