She is a Filipina and has mostly traditional values, but she also has an average Filipino IQ, Lower IQ folks tend only care about their immediate circle of family and friends, but that's ok Ang mahitabo mahitabo (What Happens Happens) is quite common among many people in the Philippines... Reactive, rather than proactive is par for the course.
