This is an extremely good explanation (I saw the original interview on TCN, but this was a good refresher).

Before hearing this explanation, I knew about the permanent bureaucracies taking control of much of the federal government, but I did not understand the mechanism they used to do the takeover.

I think everyone would benefit from hearing this explanation... it is very clearly stated, and really helps all of it make a lot more sense.
