If they were controllable why have them resign? Do you think Fred Upton is a reliable R vote? I'd rather have a controlled Democrat that will vote the way I need them to vote if an important vote comes up than a +1 advantage on paper with a backstabbing traitor like Fred Upton able to fuck us.
