DUBAI, April 1 (Reuters) - Iranian media said on Monday a building close to the Iranian embassy in Damascus was hit by an Israeli airstrike.
The report, carried in most of the country's official outlets, gave no further details. The SNN agency earlier said the Iranian consulate and ambassador's residence were targeted, without giving further details.
Earlier Syria's state news agency reported an explosion heard in the vicinity of Damascus and said "hostile targets" were intercepted.
Reportedly, 6 people were killed (unconfirmed).
So it wasn't the Iranian embassy, but rather the ambassador's residence close to the Iranian embassy.
