Maybe I’ll have to resort to fox squirrels and whitetail that live in my yard— lived solely on mule deer/ pronghorn and javelina in the 70’s — you never know how great hamburger and chicken taste until you don’t have it for years!
My daughter gets eggs from her friend who raises chickens. Think I have to ask her what her friend does with the chickens when they don’t produce eggs anymore!

Do what we've always done -- seasonally adapt our eating habits according to what is available.
Regarding eggs, you can store eggs for a very long time if you learn how to do it like our ancestors did.
