Why do we not punish people for their actions in this country anymore….

Because people who sit on jury's refuse to say "not guilty" when they see righteous vigilante justice applied within an out of control, lawless, corrupted society. Get that concept through people's thick skulls, and just punishment will begin to happen 24/7.
