I'm not saying that practitioners of occultic magic will not at times see positive ( to their own life or to the intended purpose they wanted out of performing occultic ceremonies or magic) results. Obviously, positive results must have occurred for the people practicing or likely everyone would have given up on it.
The reason positive results are not "good" in themselves is because the physical world is not all that there is. So judging good or evil in only the physical world is like solving a math problem while missing half or more of the equation.
So what in the spiritual world, which we humans only have a generalized or obfuscated perception of the spiritual realities interacting in our physical world, would the occult be operating from. The Christian Bible identifies that our place and created purpose is in the image of God and primarily in the physical domain. We were intended to experience the spiritual world via direct interaction with Creator God ( Adam and Eve walking in the Garden of Eden with God). In that state our existence was perfect and sinless (holy) and in full communion with Creator God.
Sin was introduced by the choice of Adam and Eve to eat of the fruit of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil, which of the thousands of fruit bearing trees was the only one prohibited to them by Creator God. Their eyes were opened to understanding many new things, but this act was also a rebellion against Creator God and broke the perfect relationship as the rebellion was sin and sin brought death (first spiritual death which is separation from Creator God and later physical death).
If we look into what Adam and Eve did, they gained a certain knowledge or understanding that God did not intend them to have. However, this knowledge gained outside of Creator God resulted in death and brought into the world much suffering and destruction that simply would not be if humanity had remained trusting and obedient to the only rule (restriction) given them by Creator God.
So what is the occult in God's spiritual universe. It is an attempt to use our own human power and or specific arrangements of the physical world to access things and powers in the spiritual world. All of the occult practice occurs at the hands of the human giving humans the idea we actually have some control over the interaction. And here again we see the same rebellious spirit that Adam showed in the garden of Eden. By accessing the spiritual on our own terms, we think we gain access to power that can be wielded in our own physical world. We think I can use this power for doing good or evil and it's my choice. But this is not really the case. Creator God is the correct and intended path for us to access the spiritual. He is exactly whom we were created to need and to follow and worship. When we attempt on our own to access the spiritual world outside of Creator God, we are in fact engaging in the same rebellion as Adam.
All of this to say there is no good in the occult for what we would say in the physical is good is spoiled by the spiritual evil that takes place in the practicing of the occult. In addition what we interact with in the spiritual world will now have a connection with us from which a stronghold of evil can be formed.
Also, I will tell you now Christianity and the practice of Deuteronomic Judaism are not anything to do with the occult as you incorrectly claim. In fact if you read the Christian Bible, you will find that the Children of Israel and Christians are both prohibited from practicing or dabbling in the occult. The occult is actually sin and evil. So by understanding this, we can also know that spiritual forces aligned with Creator God will not be engaging humans who practice the occult. Instead you will be engaging fallen angels and demons that hate both Creator God and humanity (created in God's image). These spiritual beings have been playing a very long game in human terms and will seek to deceive and confuse you and draw you away from Creator God. Granted this will not be able to take away your salvation which is only by Jesus sacrifice ( presuming you actually accepted Jesus salvation to begin with), but it will cause you to be living in sin and will thus prevent you from being a useful servant following Jesus and doing Creator God's will.
So if you do believe in Jesus Christ and claim Him to be your Lord and Savior ( per his sacrifice on the cross and resurrection), you should turn from (repent) this sin and ask God for forgiveness and pray Jesus mercy to break any demonic connections you have inadvertently made. Discard all occultic things you possess and join a Christian church that will support you in your repentance so that you won't fall back into this sin in your life.
The occult does not actually have a good side.
