Zimbabwe introduces new currency as depreciation and rising inflation stoke economic turmoil
Zimbabwe has launched a new currency to replace its previous one that in recent months has been battered by depreciation, and in some instances rejection by the population.
I don't trust a damn word reported out of AP. I went over the monthly participation data for 2024. January was dry, but not excessively in some places in Zim, and wet in others. The first part of Feb, was normal to above normal. End of February pretty dry. March lowest rainfall was 1.8 inches under normal average.
I don't see extreme drought, but may I'm missing something.
The frigging lame stream media love to play games with doomsday drought reporting. One month the Mississippi river is going dry, the the next there are historic levels of flooding.
I suspect the drought is cover for the failed agriculture policy of stealing the land from the white farmers.
