Chemically in your brain going to church is the same as going to a sporting event. I'm not discrediting sports or faith but psychologically speaking a certain percentage of people are more susceptible or addicted to the endorphins they get from feeling like they are a part of something.
I see this everyday. How people are obsessed with sports, I don’t get it. It just doesn’t make any sense
escapism, it's just gotten worse over the years as life increasingly stresses people.
