It's no wonder our youth seems so stupid now that I see what they've done to the grading scale.
Not only grading on a curve, but accepting “late” work with full credit until the end of the semester is acceptable. Here’s one for you! Special ed students are accepted into teacher education programs, and because they are still considered in school, can have their special ed accommodations in place for them to take the CBEST teaching test! You guessed it: Commiefornia!
Yep I am dyslexic my college was obsessed saying how I could take my test at the special education area. Then I would get unlimited time, twice the note sheets and "breaks" so I could take half into midterm in the morning and half after lunch. I didn't do it because it seemed ridiculously unfair, and that was in 2005.
This hits close to home. Back in the 80s, I went to one of the best school districts in Texas. Best for the typical kids that is. Kids with special needs were all thrown into special classes along with the severely retarded kids. Needless to say, this was horrible for the kids and one of them was my little brother.
We moved to a much poorer school district in southern Texas and it turned out that they had figured out how to work through dyslexia. After 2 six week terms, my brother moved to the normal classes and did awesome.
We moved back to our original school district after only a year and they changed their methods after seeing my brother again. They changed everything.
It sounds like your college was trying, but didn't quite understand. It appears that you did pretty well despite them.
Wow! I can’t believe that this is the first time I am hearing about this. No wonder they are so easily manipulated.
Same here fren.
Passing with a 24% is insanity, but would guarantee a stupid mind ready for college indoctrination.
