That's Tesla max output for their fastest DC charger 250kW has nothing to do with whether or not a vehicle can fast charge. Even Tesla's older DC fast charged fast charged with only 150kW. This a bmw i3 with only a 42kWh battery, and can absolutely fast charge with a 60kW charger.
