Holy Father, today I pray as many Frens as possible are inspired to join u/Tweety51A in prayers for her daughter Christina who is about to serve a 5-6 months jail term for a car accident she had whilst under heavy stress. This young mother of 2, a 5yo and an 8yo, will be separated from her family during this time and may face financially hard times after she’s gone out. Let us pray You bless her and her loving family with all the serenity and Faith they need to just pass through this ordeal and be in harmony together ever after. May noone feel durably hurt by this accident.
AGENDA
Today we celebrate Stephen Harding.
Stephen Harding served as abbot of Cîteaux for twenty-three years. While no single person is considered the founder of the Cistercian Order, the shape of Cistercian thought and its rapid growth in the 12th century were certainly due in some part to Harding's leadership. Insisting on simplicity in all aspects of monastic life, Stephen encouraged the severity of Cistercian architecture and the simple beauty of the Order's liturgy and music. He was an accomplished scribe; one of his greatest achievements is considered to be the Harding Bible. In 1133, he resigned as abbot because of poor eyesight. He died on 28 March 1134.

See you tomorrow, Frens!🤓
Thank you Penisse for your prayers in remembering Christina...there is a saying..."what doesn't kill us makes us stronger"...I would definitely say that fits this scenario....it will be interesting to see how God works this situation for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose...
We will have a final birthday party on the 27th for Emilia turning 5 and Christina turning 40...so that should be fun...😊some joy among the sorrow😪...
Why not inspiring Christina to exploit this time out, maybe there are skills she could definitely work upon, either a language, a trade, history and or philosophy?
Let her know she’s not supposed to just survive during her time, she needs to find ways to elevate herself, lest she’d give up.
My father learned to carve wood in the gulag, he also kept writing… on cigarette paper (which my older sister used to smuggle out in her socks).🙏🏻💐
Thanks for reminding me that your family has gone through this and for quite a bit longer than 6 months. Actually she will be in a detention center where they will be busy doing a lot of work in the community on work details, etc. At least that gets her outside, not so confining. I believe she can continue with AA and there may be some other resources available. She will be in dorm style living. But like you said...6 months will pass very quickly when all is said and done. She has been doing a lot of reading over the past year, so I am sure she will continue that...I believe journaling and writing is some of the things she has done with the steps in AA...so it sounds like she will be quite occupied. It just isn't home and family...you know what I mean...thank goodness God is omnipresent...
It makes me have more of an appreciation for what your dad must have gone through...and the children and your mom....I absolutely believe there is always good that can come out of bad situations. If for no other reason for learning life lessons...thank you for your suggestions...Christina is a doer...she will be busy I am sure...and being a social worker she has a servant's heart...that's just Christina...
As I told you before, I will keep having prayers for both of you long after this is just an old story.🙏🏻💐
And thank you again and God bless you and yours...life is so much more precious than we imagine and freedom certainly is a blessing...known more succinctly by those who lose it...a good lesson for us all...
