👉🏻 Link to yesterday’s post.
Holy Father, how interesting is it that, whilst discussin basic organisation in our daily meeting with the colleagues, I hit a wall of incomprehension and indifference when telling about how strange it was yesterday at 16:01 to have to ask about who would watch the group mailbox and phone as it is mandatory for us until 17:00. I did not want us to have an answer by then, but I wanted the question to be obvious at this time in the morning so, should someone devote some time for this monitoring, he would better know soon enough to eventually adjust his afternoon schedule. I pray I planted a little seed regarding this kind of vigilance we ethically owe our employer.
AGENDA
Today we celebrate Perfectus.
Perfecto was challenged by two Muslim men to say who was the greater prophet: Jesus or Mohammed. At first he refrained from responding, so as not to provoke them; but they insisted that he give them an answer, promising to protect him from reprisals. He then told them in Arabic that Muhammed was a false prophet and that he was an immoral man for supposedly seducing his adopted son's wife. The Muslims kept their promise and let him go, but several days later some of them changed their mind and had him arrested. They had friends seize Perfecto (so as to not be forsworn) and tried. Perfecto was found guilty of blasphemy by the Islamic court and was executed. The legend says that Perfecto's final words were to bless Christ and condemn Muhammad and his Qur'an. He was beheaded on 18 April 850.

See you tomorrow, Frens!🤓
Amen.
Mary!🤗💐
There was snow on the Berner roofs when I got up today. It’s currently melting but I somehow enjoyed this white veil over my town.🤓
Wow! It sounds beautiful, but I wouldn't want that here as I checked my garden and I have a few sprouts of corn and green beans showing through the holes in my ground plastic. I wouldn't want to kill what I worked so hard to produce. But it does sound lovely. Hope the cold snap isn't too cold for you. I believe it is either strawberry or blackberry winter as my grandma Estelle would have said. She knew each cold snap when it hit. Anyway, it will be 84 F today for me. Rained buckets yesterday. Hoping for some clear skies and sunshine today.
We shall reach 50F this afternoon, so this was just a burst of polar wind through the rain clouds… I pray your garden exceeds your expectations.🙏🏻💐
Glad to hear your temp is warming up. Good for you. Well I'm still waiting for my cabbage and lettuce sprouts to get big enough to transplant over into my garden, and I've got broccoli and cauliflower I am waiting for them to get big enough to transplant into some large containers. Then once my cabbage and lettuce are planted, I will put in a hill of watermelon, a hill of canteloupe and a hill of cucumber. Then I will sit back and wait. The best part will be NO WEEDING. My son and Tiffany are planting what they want in 'straw bales.' She has tomatoes, lettuce and strawberries planted. So far they look good.
It’s always nice and interesting to read from you, my favorite part is when you get so deep into describing your garden activities.🤓💐
Yes. I have a test spot I planted with turnips as I have never raised them before and a small patch of spinach I am trying out too. So far I have potato peelings in my raised bed that I buried out of curiosity to see what they would do and yes! potatoes have sprouted. So I put in one zucchini (hope it has room) in there with them. I have 2 buckets with carrots and 2 buckets with brussel sprouts that I am sprouting to transplant. I have one squash in the garden, and 3 tomato plants. I also will be planting 2 bell pepper plants if they sprout first; if not I will go to Lowe's and buy a couple. Once all the sprouting is over, I will be planting some radishes. HEY! We love our salads and veggies around here.
You should check Hemerocallis.
It’s a magical edible flower from Japan. : they say it’s why there are so many centenarians in Okinawa.
P.S. I have okra planted at the bottom of my backporch deck.
OKRA......My secret ingredient for Louisiana Gumbo in Cast Iron Kettle Pot with shrimp & crab....NOTHING like it....
Enjoy!!!
