They bleat out "our Democracy is in Danger" but the Truth is, it's their "Democracy" that IS the Danger.

In the UK our politicians have several set phrases which, while they sound good, have hidden meanings. One such is: "I have seen no evidence to suggest that ..."
That means that the accusation is true but all the politician's staff have been threatened with losing their jobs, or worse, if any evidence is shown to said politician.
Another expression is used for political opponents who have done exactly the right thing. That is: "Too little; too late!"
In the US, I detect that any politician worried about "democracy" is actually more concerned about losing control to the people rather than giving power to the people.
I think you are spot on fren, it seems relinquishing power back to the people as intended by our constitution is the threat they speak of. Furthermore It sounds as if All politicians in "western" nations have undergone their versions of political catch phrase spin training. Perhaps at the infamous Bilderberg meatings.
HEAR YE', HEAR YE', HEAR YE'...TO ALL WHO ARE WITHIN THE SOUND THE FOLLOWING:
WE, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS NOT, I REPEAT, IS NOT A FUCKING DEMOCRACY, WE ARE A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC WITH 50 SEPARATE FORMS OF STATE GOVERNMENTS...
Now go back to sleep!!!
It's a shame more people don't understand the difference. Probably why the public school system moved away from Civics and towards Social(ist) Studies.
MBNM...YOU have hit the nail squarely on the head...OUTSTANDING...and that is exactly correct...
Well thank you for saying so fren!
"Our Democracy" means rule by and for the Democrat Party.
Yes, each and every day that becomes more apparent.
Mob rule democracy at its most chaotic.
Indeed
Our Democracy (tm), is just that. Public identification of themselves. And their cause. A dog whistle, if you will, quick identification to their true agenda no matter what lies are pouring out of their mouths. Their poisonous marxist assault on all fabrics of our society. Our institutions have failed. Our military has failed.
We have one man standing up above everyone else taking the brunt of their assaults, President Donald John Trump.
If ever there was a time when you could say God has sent upon us a great bewilderment, then surely you could say we are in a time such as that.
Well spoken fren.
Correct. "Our" is the operative word in "Our Democracy"
It's not a reference to democracy in general. It refers to a specific instance of ''democracy'" that somebody owns.
More like, "The U.S. Government deciding which countries need a central banking system."
