Those who cause terror, pain and death...no penalty is too great. Forgiving them is not in the picture. Not for me. That they are stopped, Is the only prayer I have that would mention them. That others are protected from them. Doing good, being compassionate, if that is our heart and personality then our own lives reflect that. I don't feel capable of extending it to people who hurt the innocent. Human or animal.
You’re not the one who has to forgive in this scenario. The only hope for them is Jesus who is capable of forgiving all sin. The truly evil will never turn but perhaps there are those weak ones who were threatened into compliance.
