Meanwhile, the Christian God can be traced all the way back to "Dyḗus ph₂tḗr" (lit. "father daylight-sky-god"), the daylight-sky god in Proto-Indo-European mythology.
He has literally been with us since the earliest days, before we even conceived of making bread.
"Dyḗus" is where we get the Latin word for God, "Deus", and the whole name "Dyḗus ph₂tḗr" is directly analogous to "Deus Pater", "God Father".
