240v (US house circuits) are only 120v to ground.

You would have to electrify an isolated pad for them to stand on.

Still 120v to ground.

When one leg swings +120v the other leg swings down -120v ---- giving you 240v difference, hot wire to hot wire. Still only 120v to GROUND from either wire.
