I've had the impression for a long time that those Household Cavalry horses are not very well schooled and neither are many of the riders. In the parades the horses are constantly bouncing, resisting, and throwing their heads up and down (not normal) and refuse to stand still (a bad thing in a parade horse.)
I've seen the Cavalry riders fall off in the streets before - at least one at Prince William's & Catherine's wedding some years back, though the TV cameras quickly turned away from that.
For what it's worth, the British Royal Family is in complete chaos and disarray right now. Queen Elizabeth was holding it all together and now that she's gone, the whole thing is falling apart.
Prince William's wife, Catherine, who will be the next Queen of England, has been missing since Christmas Day. That was four months ago. The only "explanations" have been ridiculous and highly conflicting. And the UK media will not touch the story. How does one of the most famous and most-photographed women in the world simply vanish with no questions asked? She has three young children and with one brief exception, they have not been seen since Christmas Day, either.
Prince William's cousin, Thomas Kingston, was found dead from a head wound at his parents' home a couple of months ago. There was a gun nearby, but again the news won't touch the story and the police said there would be no investigation.
Prince Harry and his execrable wife, Meghan, who ditched the UK and the Royal Family some four years and appear to be lying about having two children (nobody ever sees them,) have practically set up a rival court in the USA and seem to do all they can to undermine William, the next king.
It would be an awesome soap opera if this family were not so influential on the world stage.
Now blood-covered royal horses are running wild in the streets of London. Britain is a Celtic culture, a horse culture, and most people will be horrified by this.
Sure, some may cheer the end of royalty in Britain. But we might want to look again at what else it's going to take down with it.
