I had a buddy who was like your sister. He was a die-hard liberal, yet his mind was open enough to let me tell him of my conservative views and he told me of his liberal viewpoint. We each listened to each others perspective, yet at the end of every conversation I shook my head and always called him an idiot. He's chuckle and kept on with his ideals. Opposites can have middle ground, as long as both parties look for the middle ground and don't stand on their piece of turf and fail to listen. I don't hate libs, I just shake my head in wonderment as to why they believe the way the do. Seems to me they cannot look past the talking points and see the flaws in their positions. And sometimes it is refreshing to listen to a lefty and see what they are thinking.
