A little boy whose page i follow on Facebook is in the hospital with sepsis.
His name is Grayson Morse, his page is Grayson's Smile, and he has krabbe leukodystrophy. He is 8 years old.
I dont know him or the family personally but he reminds me of my own son and i love to see his videos of his irrepressible spirit despite his terminal disease.
Please check out his page and pray for him if you feel moved to do so.
Not even a person that OP knows...
I am shocked there isn't a bit more skepticism on these prayer requests. Is it right to pray on a situation you have no awareness is even real?
I always pray, when requested.
I don't think it's right, for me to judge them.
God can sort it out.....
I would rather pray when not needed, than to miss when needed.
Yeah that attitude surprised me. Why NOT pray for a sick child? I get we are all conspiracy theorists here to some degree but really?
Maybe the kid is just faking it? Maybe all the hospital pictures are AI generated? I am grasping but i fail to see why someone would make a "fake prayer request" for a child in the hospital, esp one who demonstrably exists if anyone feels like googling him
Really?
Prayer costs me nothing and like you I would rather pray for the child than not. God can sort out the rest.
I was shown his page on FB and have followed it for about a year because I like his attitude and I was interested in his story.
They have never asked for money or anything, it is mostly just to get awareness out about krabbe leukodystrophy and how easily it is spotted and cured if detected early.
I did the background research a while back and he is a real person and his story has been covered in local news.
I have been to the hospital myself once for a pre-sepsis condition and it was scary and it came up suddenly and i felt for him and his family so I posted this here. The past few days he had been fighting a cold and now this.
That works for me.
Something about him reminds me of my youngest son at that age, idk what...maybe just face structure or shape, not sure. I'm not one to follow many "childhood illness" pages bc tbh they make me profoundly sad. Grayson is different, he just sort of jumped out at me.
