I pay 10 grand a year in property taxes. Our school district now has two pools, 3 football/multi use stadiums and two fieldhouses, the last built being 59.4 million dollars. Both of our Middle Schools have better on campus sports facilities than many colleges. Then they repave my road and I get a 20 grand special assessment spread over 10 years and I dont even get a say in the process. The couple hundred feet in front of my house didnt cost 20 freaking grand. No curb and gutter, no sewer of water work, no gas lines or underground electric, but 20 grand. Grrrrrrr taxation is theft.
