I remember reading during the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan that Armenian arms dealers were getting arms cheap from Russia due to their mutual defense treaty and selling them all over the places, including Russian enemies. Funnily Armenia and Azerbaijan were both part of the mutual defense treaty, but the CIA was able to infiltrate Armenia much better, and managed to get them to fight each other.
That said, Putin is playing the same game Trump is. He is allowing some of the Cabal to surround him and he is manipulating his enemies to destroy each other.
