Having taken part in college protests, when I believed that standing and yelling was going to change the world (I have grown up since LOL), I believe it when one talks of infiltration in these types of college activities. Back then, I noticed older kids there, who seemed out of place, but they had very articulated speeches to make, and conducted focus-groups where it seemed as if we were all participating. Coinkidentally, there were rumors circulating on campus that CIA was recruiting in the post-graduate IR classes - and silly me did not connect any dots back then. It was glamorized, even.
I remember the protesters in DC during Gulf I. I also remember, me and a group of vets going to the counterprotest. We beat the shit out of a few protesters and the cops stood down as we laid waste to them. Nothing like Corcoran jump boots to the shins. My how things have changed. I'm not exonerating the current crop of protesters, but rather those against the Military Industrial Complex. Sorry random dude for breaking your jaw.

Not being facetious. I don't agree with current protests. But back in the day, the peace protesters were against the MIC. I spent years after Gulf I working for the IC/MIC. I now see it's war profiteering. Self-licking ice cream cone.
