My post was removed buy donttredonit because i said people should do a search before posting something a week old that has been posted at least 25 times. Seems a little bias to me.
Just to be clear, mods remove stuff if it is not adding anything relevant to the board. A double post is still relevant. But complaints to mods on the public forum are not (Do that behind the scenes i.e. a message with the mod you have a disagreement with).
In future, your complaint about a double post should be directed at the incompetent OP, not the Mods. If you hate the place, leave.
Mods are not authorities who you can lodge complaints with, like a principal of a school or something. They are merely janitors, hanging onto a broom, cleaning the place up, and your complaints about their behaviour are not going to change anything.
How do you propose mods should approach the issue of double posting? By having a wholescale policy of deleting double-posts already? Remember that they are people too.
There are some pretty queer mods here, but they do a job behind the scenes so that we can use the board, without wading through artificial content, and spam. So jannies are a necessary, but welome, evil.
It's annoying to see repeat content, and that's why there is a rule to check in the search box, using the title of the link or a keyword, before posting. AND, to post using the title of the content, rather than making something else up, so that others can check if the content is there, and find your post. My habit is to post the title as is, and then to add a comment, and perhaps a flair.
Nevertheless, take it as it comes: if a subject is posted multiple times, it means it is a habbening, I suppose.
By removing my post because i said people should do a search before posting something a week old that has been posted 25 times. That`s what should be focused on in my opinion. Thanks for your input on something you know nothing about.
Well, at least you are talking to a person, not a bot. There is that. The fact that 'I know nothing about something' is your fault. Try using your keyboard more.
