Taxes to politicians is like crack to addicts. The more they have, the more they want. Time to send all those who voted for the last spending bill to permanent rehab and hire replacements who promise to reduce federal spending by 20% the first year and then 10% over each succeeding year until the feds spend 30% of what they currently spend in 2024. Then keep it there permanently. To accomplish this, they target waste, fraud and abuse. Secondly, they eliminate no bid contracts. Third, reduce their workforce by 10% ea year and cap it at the same 30% of 2024. To keep them honest, 1% of every dollar saved comes back to them as raises and benefits. That keeps their interests aligned with the rest of us. If they fail in any year, they are fired and replaced.
