If jews appreciated the sacrifice of soldiers, there would be WWII memorials in every city instead of holocost memorials. They made it about them and not the people who died trying to "save" them. I'd wager this is why it took so long to build the WWII Memorial in DC. BTW, it wasn't built until 2004, when most of the WWII vets were elderly.
