How much does it cost the federal government for a building in DC versus MD? More costs for transportation, MD perpetually benefits from the extra taxes paid by all of the workers, food and drinks from lunches and dinners, more hotels booked from people traveling in, utilities, real-estate taxes - whatever MD has or can dream up will be a windfall for them and less for DC. Maybe Trump is thinking like a businessman.

Personally I've lived in both and hate them equally.
