the girl in braids = Kore

Persephone/Kore (Περσεφόνη/ Κόρη) is a goddess, Demeter's daughter by Zeus, wife of Hades, and queen of the underworld. The name Kore means maiden, and she grew up to be a lovely girl attracting the attention of many gods, including Hades, who kidnapped her and forced her underground for half the year.
