"The whole experience was crazy, the entire first verse was in my head after attending a vigil for the MSU shooting victims. I went and sat at the piano and the entire song wrote itself in about 20-30 minutes, it almost felt like I didn’t write it. Which is why in the beginning of the video I call out that the Holy Spirit sent it to us."
LET HIM IN
When the light seems dim
When the clouds cover the sky
We will shout your name
Lord we’ll lift your name on high
And when the darkest days
Seem to take over our lives
We will shout your name
Lord of light, yes Jesus Christ
Chorus
Shout it from the rooftops
Sing it in the streets
When this heart in our chest stops
You’re the first one we will see
You’re the Savior of the people
The forgiver of every sin
On the street or in the steeple
We will let your goodness in
I will let Him in
When the forces of evil
Come and try to take our light
You will call on your people
To stand up and join the fight
And when those thoughts of despair
Come and take over our minds
We will call your name in prayer
Lord of care, yes Jesus Christ
Chorus
When the sorrow of this place
Is the only thing we see
We will call upon your Grace
At peace our hearts yes they will be
And when we start to feel
Like we’ve all but lost the fight
We know you’ll help us heal
Lord of love, yes Jesus Christ
Chorus
This Earth has no sorrow
That Heaven cannot heal
We will embrace tomorrow
Our light this world can never steal
So take up your shield
Live by faith and not by sight
Our love will never yield
Lead by Christ, our guiding light
Chorus 2X
We will let your goodness in
I will let Him in
We will let your goodness in
I will let Him in
We will let your goodness in
I will let Him in
Very beautiful and it is so true for the times we are living in. God gave you this message to share and I'm so glad you put it to music and shared it with us. God bless.
Hi Mary, glad you liked it! My mothers name was Mary and this was written during some difficult times during her cancer fight. Miss her everyday. Please share it with others if you liked it! It’s also on Spotify and Apple Music 🙏🏻
I am so sorry to hear about your mother's cancer as my own mother died from cervical cancer at the age of 42. She struggled as well and I know the suffering firsthand. I am so happy that you were blessed with this great song that you will always remember your mother by. The message is a good one and helps us all through our times of struggle. I will be sure and share it with others. Thank you again and I'm sure God has many more blessings headed your way.
