Good old detective work to trace all the perp's communications and finances plus interrogations, expose the webs and locate the puppet masters, might be better suited to a reasonable course of action lest we become the same type of beasts we profess to want to eliminate. Certainly if someone has publicly advocated for violence that would put them in the "violent" category and they should be closely monitored. "Hunting" doesn't have to mean gearing up and putting on the night vision goggles and packing extra mags, but rather hunting via available information - to reach a point where they can be brought to a court or tribunal. I have a close friend who's a socialist - good heart/idealistic, not much common sense, way too much virtue signalling, lack of spirituality, etc - but never would he commit or condone violence.
