Reportedly Iranians in major cities responded by launching Fireworks and Celebrating.

And the Iranian Government reportedly responded with Military and Law Enforcement crackdowns and fortifying Government Buildings. As they fear a new round of riots and unrest. Given the Dead Guy was a Political Hardliner that some referred to as “The Butcher of Tehran” for his role in mass executions of Political Prisoners in the 80s. And was partly responsible for the Violent Suppression of the first rounds of protests.
