I'll keep my "third world poor" and govt that is trying to uphold what we want - maybe "third world poor" will keep most of the illegals invaders out too - no money to keep them in the manner they wish to become accustomed to. We aren't quite as miserable as you seem to think we are.
We know how to live off the land, produce oil and gas, live as a community, and have some fun doing it! Landry has been on the front lines since Covid hit as AG and now cleaning it up from the governors office.
Landry was fantastic during the scamdemic. I reached out to the AG's office during that period - and they responded to my questions. I wanted to know if all the "mandates" were legal? They pointed me to a LA AG legal opinion which in summary said all the mandates are illegal and unconstitutional. And that those who were pushing mandates were liable for civil as well as criminal penalties. I had actually printed a copy to keep in my truck.
Fort Polk… 😂 That area is definitely a shithole. Sorry for your station and thank you for your service. Did you ever see the state by water? It’s called sportsman’s paradise for a reason.
I did, went out deep sea fishing a handful of times all the way out to the oil platforms - I remember one night we were out there fishing at like 11pm and suddenly all the oil platforms lit up and shot fire straight up in the air for almost 10 minutes, it was the weirdest experience. My buddy said it's some sort of burnoff they do.
Aside from a few tourist spots, the ocean front was pretty much the same as upstream.
The coast is affected by the sediment bc of where the Mississippi ends. Deep sea fishing is fun but my favorite is running the bayous. I will agree that Ft Polk area is a shithole and other parts of LA. What a lot of people fail to realize is that there were no “after” plans for people after the war. It created a situation of poverty and government reliance. It’s still the reason why there’s a correlation of the poorest states.

Smart. Great to know.
Yep!!! I LOVE Louisiana and there is no where else in the world like New Orleans!
To be poor and live free then to be rich and bend your knees.
Amen
Yes amen.
I was stationed at Fort Polk - I ain't using the new name - for four years and spent the time riding my motorcycle all around the state.
It's a shit hole, a very poor shit hole. I wouldn't live there for all the money in the state, which isn't much.
