Seventh grade history teacher started on the left end of the chalkboard by writing the word freedom. He wrote the word communism on the right side. He then started making tick marks from left to right by reading off a variety of different laws. Some piddly and stupid some important and serious. Us seventh graders got the message that every single law brings society closer to communism. Why are old, outdated, defunct laws, like it’s illegal to kill a sparrow in a cemetery, not ever taken off the books? Because it’s never about creating a great society. It’s always about gaining power, inch by inch. The inevitable slow creep of control. Human nature. Even so called conservatives are guilty of this. They just move slower towards the same end goal as the progressive left.
