But they do care about their investors. Not individually, of course, but en masse. And their investors care about the bottom line. When enough investors get pissed of because they take a financial hit then they can sway the board. At some point the board has to go in one direction or another.
We the people en masse can have an impact on the bottom line thus upsetting the investors thus upsetting the higher ups.

The things the guy says in the video are not wrong but I'm sick of seeing the sentiment that "It's bigger than all of us and maybe we should just give up".
