I received word this evening that my cousin Shawn had a bad accident. Shawn is one of those guys that makes poor choices and is looked down upon by society based on his past. He's got a HUGE heart and is the first one that would be there for you when you needed help.

Shawn lost his Dad to bone cancer in May 2020, but the hospitals listed his death as Covid. His mom at that time was already progressing deeper into the effects of Alzheimer's and passed away in early 2023.

He's has a difficult past and is still suffering from those bad decisions and the resulting court orders.

Somehow last evening; Shawn was using his food smoker while making a meal for Memorial Day Weekend. The smoker exploded and caught the house on fire. He was able to get his son out of the house unharmed, but Shawn is in the hospital with bad burns. The resulting fire completely destroyed the house and my mother says there is nothing left.

Shawn doesn't have much of anything and only works odd maintenance jobs since folks know his past. He's 700+ miles from me so I can't go visit or help but I can pray for him. I humbly ask for your prayers for his healing and a quick recovery for his family during this difficult time.
