I recently learnt that in Soviet era, there was this amazing movie director who made a Russian movie where she sneaked in Jesus imagery of a martyr, and as a result it was her last movie. She was killed in an accident when she started her next movie.
Thee movie, btw is Ascent and is one of the best war movies.
I know that many churches were burned by the communists during the Soviet era!
Its true. But they didnt give up on their faith though. The church went underground. I know of several stories almost miraculous.
I've recently read about a monastery in the Balkans that was buried for 6 centuries and managed to escape the Muslim Turks and the communists and it's still standing today!
We should accept those folks in our country, not the filthy Middle Eastern terrorists!
