Interesting. I can't see it either. Are you saying that it's in the court records from 1644 - in Northampton, what, Massachusetts? Thanks for answering. I would like to check this out but can't see TS.
For some reason the last few times I've tried posting something from there it hasn't worked... Did you try clicking the thumbnail??? I'm wondering if I reached a daily limit of some sort... I apologize for that... It only says Northampton, not sure whether it's Massachusetts or not...
That's alright. I'm not on TS so I doubt I'd see it anyway. Except, someone (maybe you?) posted something from there a couple of days ago and it was the one and only time I could see it. I wish they'd open it up for viewing.
I'm sorry you're having that problem viewing TS... I wish I knew if some way you could...
Me too! I know there's a lot of good stuff there. As long as people explain a bit about whatever it is they're posting, it's all good. Some just say stuff like, check this out! And then leave, lol.
Colonial Court Records Northampton 1654... That's exactly what it says...
Actually come to think of it, was there ever Tobacco growing in Massachusetts. Maybe there's a Northampton in Virginia. I'll check it out.
According to the article I read, it was Northampton Virginia...
Thanks. Yeah, that makes more sense. Virginia was tobacco country, and of course, Jamestown was established before the pilgrims landed.
Alright, thanks. Well, there wasn't much yet in 1654, so it's probably Massachusetts. Actually, I have been absolutely amazed at how quickly things progressed. Those pilgrims were busy little bees. Remember, the only landed at Plymouth Rock in 1620. So 1654 is only 34 years later.
You're correct on that...
