Not to distract from today's topics but tomorrow is "Pride" month and I am going to show my PRIDE in the USA by putting up red, white and blue on my house, my yard, my car and leaving it there the whole month and adding more for Independence Day. Let's take "pride" back along with our rainbow.
Let's show the liberals and people who hate this country and are prancing around celebrating a bogus conviction of a Patriotic President just how many of us there are.
Pride is a sin. Lets abandon it. Proverbs 11:2 "When pride comes, disgrace follows, but with humility comes wisdom."
Proper patriotism should be based not on pride, but on love of ones neighbor.
Thank you for pointing that out. You are so right in the biblical sense. And love is the proper response to the hate of some of our neighbors. I admit I am a sinner and I am not ready to love them but I do love my country and I want to show that.
I think the healthy replacement for pride is thankfulness. That's at least what I've been replacing my pride with.
That is a good one!
But it is okay to hate the evil that they are doing.
And somewhat paradoxically there is also Psalm 139:21 - "Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD, and detest those who rise against You?"
I think we should both desire for someone like Epstien to change his mind and believe in Christ, while also desiring for him to be brought to full justice.
