I don't know anything about the plaintiff, but I have seen lawsuits that are designed for the benefit of the defendants, agreeing to a token settlement that prevents others from obtaining justice, sometimes with legislation to back it up. With the level of shenanigans going on with GME, a tactic like this wouldn't surprise me at all. Hopefully this is legit and designed to punish the lawbreakers, but if it ends with a quick settlement, this'll be something to look for.
