The video shows them standing on the sidewalk, and speaking to people from there. It can be inferred they were the proper distance away, until the prosecution proves otherwise. Innocent until proven guilty should especially apply in this case. Biased judge, was there even a jury?
I agree, but the problem is no one was actually charged with trespassing even though it seems that’s all that happened. Plus the article itself never mentions they were only trespassing either.
The prosecution clearly abused the interpretation of the FACE Act in order to make it a felony, but that’s what all the defendants were convicted of.
