This does not look like any blood clots I have seen, nor does it resemble the amyloid structures removed from cadavers.
You think its fake? I just saw the post on reddit, put together a quick image, and shared it here. It's certainly believable, but I wouldn't know.
I think it's a troll. A clot that size would have killed someone, and probably couldn't have been removed in one piece without completely dissecting the vein or artery.
This is a clot which would be removed via mechanical thrombectomy, and that's what the Redditor claims is the procedure he had.

It looks exactly like a femoral DVT (deep vein thrombosis). The structures removed from cadavers aren't blood clots which is why they don't look the same. The equipment in the image is Inari Medical equipment. They specialize in equipment to treat VTE patients, DVT, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, etc. INARI.
If they rinse off the blood it will be white. I think I heard they are proteins or something. It's still a clot.
